Stucke Elektronik Balkan d.o.o. was founded in 2004 in Belgrade as part of stuckeGROUP, headquartered in Hamburg. Stucke Elektronik GmbH has been manufacturing microprocessor-based protection relays and energy management systems in Germany since 1968 — more than five decades of continuous development, deliveries and service.
Our Belgrade office covers the South-East European region and provides full support for the group — from consulting and engineering, through sales and commissioning, to service and training. The team consists of engineers with many years of experience in protection relays, low- and medium-voltage automation, parallel generator operation and grid synchronisation — with references on installations both locally and worldwide.
As part of stuckeGROUP, we offer the full expertise and complete portfolio of the parent company directly to customers in the region, with short response times, local technical support and the ability to mobilize on site quickly.
Stucke Elektronik Balkan d.o.o. combines SYMAP® technology developed and manufactured in Germany with over 20 years of engineering experience gained on local, regional and international projects. Our team has worked in various application areas: marine and offshore power systems, industrial plants, generator stations, distribution networks, medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, generator parallel operation, grid synchronization, PMS, protection, automation and commissioning.
Our greatest value comes in projects where it is not enough to supply only a protection relay or controller, but where it is necessary to understand and engineer the complete plant operation logic: protection, breaker control, grid synchronization, parallel operation of multiple generators, load sharing, load shedding, advanced ATS, black-start sequences, interlocking, SCADA/DCS/DMS communication, FAT/SAT testing and commissioning.
We are particularly strong in medium-voltage and low-voltage systems where generators, grid, busbars, transformers, feeder bays, distribution feeders, backup supply and plant automation logic are combined. In such projects the product is only one part of the solution, the experience in design, parameterization, testing and commissioning determines the reliability of the entire system.
For distribution networks and switchgear, our team adds value through deep understanding of protection selectivity, earth-fault regimes, operation of isolated and compensated networks, automatic reclosing, feeder bay control, communication with SCADA/DMS systems and standardization of solutions across multiple bays or substations. This is a segment where not only ANSI functions matter, but also proper coordination of protection, measurement, communication and maintenance throughout the entire plant lifecycle.
Distribution systems require a different approach than generator, marine or industrial applications. The focus is on selectivity, earth-fault protection, supply availability, bay standardization, remote monitoring and fast fault diagnostics. Our team assists in selection and tuning of protections for feeder bays, transformers, busbars and connection points, with SCADA/DMS integration and support through FAT/SAT and commissioning.
Beyond equipment supply, we take responsibility for the entire engineering cycle: from preparation and finalization of project documentation (in-house, jointly with partner design offices, or as technical consultancy on existing documentation), through parameterization and wiring verification, up to secondary and primary protection testing and preparation of complete as-built documentation. To the investor, designer and contractor we offer a single point of contact for the whole commissioning phase of the plant.
Preparation and finalization of project documentation, depending on the application: fully in-house, jointly with partner design offices, or as technical consultancy on the investor's existing documentation.
Review of single-line diagrams, coordination studies and technical requirements, preparation of setting lists and parameter entry into the protection relays prior to mobilization.
Point-to-point verification of current, voltage and control wiring, continuity, phase sequence and instrument transformer polarity, with accompanying test protocols.
Secondary injection testing of protection functions (ANSI 21, 50/51, 87, 27/59, 81, 25 and others), verification of operate times, selectivity, blocking and logic schemes.
On the investor's request, verification of the complete measurement chain from primary conductors and instrument transformers up to the protection relay, coordinated with high-voltage works.
FAT and SAT reports, protection test protocols, final settings lists and as-built records of the works performed, in a format accepted by the investor and supervision.
We provide the same testing, parameterization and reporting services for protection relays from other manufacturers, in existing installations and retrofit projects.
Scheduled periodic protection testing, service interventions and technical support throughout the entire plant lifecycle, both for our own products and for equipment from other manufacturers.
All phases are executed by our own engineering and test team based in Belgrade, with our own equipment for secondary testing and without engaging subcontractors. For projects in the region, we provide a fast response, with on-site mobilization at the earliest possible notice.
Stucke Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1968 in Hamburg for the design and repair of cables. In 1974, the development of electronic components followed, and in the early 1980s SYNPOL® was developed — the first protection system for generators on ships. From that tradition, three successful generations of SYMAP® devices were developed.
