Marine and offshore

More than 4,300 vessels with HIMAP or SYMAP® devices installed. Container ships, LNG/LPG tankers, chemical and oil tankers, bulk carriers, RoRo and cruise vessels. Offshore platforms, FPSOs, jack-ups and semi-submersibles.

Typical projects: Newbuilds (BCG/ECG for PMS), retrofit during docking (SYMAP R as HIMAP replacement), switchgear modernisation (ARC).

Hydro, diesel and gas plants

Small and medium hydropower plants, grid-connected diesel gensets, biogas and CHP installations, industrial diesel backup. SYMAP® with the FGH certificate (VDE-AR-N 4110/4120) is accepted by DSO operators in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and across the region.

Typical projects: Single-generator units (Compact+ GC), multi-gen plants (BCG/ECG), cogeneration with parallel grid operation.

Solar, wind and renewables

Utility-scale solar plants, commercial PV systems, onshore and offshore wind farms, hybrid installations. Compact+ GC carries the full FGH certificate for grid-code applications — NA protection, EZA controller, Q/P regulation per operator requirements.

Typical projects: Grid connection per VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, UK G99, plant controller for parks with multiple inverters, island mode operation.

Industrial plants

Process industries — refineries, chemical plants, steel mills, pulp & paper, mining, water utilities. SYMAP® Compact+ and classic Y/BC variants serve motor bays (pumps, fans, compressors), feeder bays and transformer bays.

Typical projects: Motor protection with thermal model, DCS/SCADA integration, ATEX classification of explosion zones, arc-flash protection of MV bays.

Distribution — TSO and DSO operators

Distribution and industrial substations, MV and LV feeders, connection stations, urban substations. Regional DSO operators in SE Europe and beyond standardise on SYMAP® for switchgear protection and control.

Typical projects: Selectivity, earth-fault and directional protection, IEC 61850 Ed. 2 / IEC 60870-5-104 SCADA, retrofit of legacy switchgear.

BESS and data centres

Battery energy storage for peak shaving, frequency regulation and grid stabilisation. Data centres with N+1 and N+N redundancy. SYMAP® provides a signal interface to the BMS — it is not a BMS replacement, nor a UPS controller.

Typical projects: Compact+ GC for AC grid connection (FGH certificate), Y-BAT for DC battery-side monitoring, BCG/ECG for multi-gen backup in data centres.
