Protection and control for ferries, cruise ships and RoRo vessels
For RoRo, ferries, cruise and passenger vessels, SYMAP® solutions cover protection and control of generator groups, Power Management, feeder protection, motor and transformer functions, DC supplies, communication with supervisory systems and optional ARC systems. For vessels with more complex MV distribution or critical connections between switchboards, the LD variant for line differential protection 87L may also be considered, depending on the actual schematic and class requirements.
SYMAP® products are installed on more than 300 RoRo and passenger ships worldwide. RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) ships and passenger ships are grouped together because both carry people and are subject to stricter SOLAS safety regulations. SYMAP® devices are available with type approvals from leading class societies, including LR, ABS, DNV, BV, CCS, PRS, NK, RINA and KR, which cover passenger vessel requirements.
