Protection and control for offshore vessels and platforms
For offshore vessels and platforms, SYMAP® solutions cover protection and control of generator groups, Power Management, synchronization, load sharing, bus-tie logic, feeder protection, motor protection, transformer functions, DC systems, battery/hybrid applications, ARC systems and retrofit of existing installations.
In such systems, the appropriate SYMAP® variants are used according to their role in the power architecture: G / BCG / ECG for generator and PMS functions, F for feeder cells, M for motor applications, T for transformer functions, DC for DC systems and BAT for battery/hybrid applications. For critical cable or line connections between switchboards, line ends or offshore distribution panels, LD is considered as a dedicated variant for line differential protection 87L. The SYMAP® family is in service on more than 50 offshore vessels and platforms worldwide.

For a full marine Power Management System with load sharing, automatic load shedding, bus-tie logic and diesel genset control, the classic SYMAP® BCG and ECG variants apply.
